i went through the first story with him last night and i REALLY like it! so far he's a lot more focused on analyzing story beats than the minutae of language, which i love since i tend to struggle with shaping stories in a way that feels complete. i feel like it'd pair really well with francine prose's reading like a writer since she takes a similar approach but with stylistic elements such as description, dialogue, etc
