Question: is Mars comparing the dimensions to the weird made-up board game, despite them having the memory of playing frisbee and not that (due to the purging), a plot hole? Or is it meant to show their memories coming back?

bitch this novel’d better be glad i enjoy its atmosphere and that it was a favorite book of my younger self bc otherwise i’d make a drinking game out of every time they mention “a cloud of gnats”, or use the simile “like a prophecy”

leaving a bunch of teenage boys in the middle of buttfuck nowhere to guide each other blindfolded in the woods, and in doing so, leaving a queer camper’s life in the hands of their peers who have antagonized or hate-crimed them in the last week… clearly the counselors thought this through😒
