Chapter after chapter of new and old characters. It's nice to catch up with Marius et al, but I hope there's a reason for introducing so many new ones. I love Rice's prose. Book, please don't suck.

It almost feels like I'm getting to sit down and chat with a dear ole friend. The familiarity is welcoming, but...but I'm expecting it to all go to hell. This is Anne Rice after all. I still can't forgive her for Blood Canticle
