Shawn Cheng did each Oz book as a one-(huge)-page comic. It's fantastic! Such detail and great character designs. Loved it! Nothing in this book will be as good as that.

That is the word for it! It's definitely a mixed bag. Some are truly great, and some are just kinda boring. But they are all interesting! I would not call it safe for all children. There's some nudity and plenty of adult themes going on--as in most fairy tales!
More like Grimm than Disney then. I am not currently acquainted with any children, but good to know.
