It picked up a little but still not much in the character development area until way into the book. So far I think this author is a better novella author which I have enjoyed in some anthologies.

Lord of build up. h and H don’t have an actual dialogue conversation with each other until about 31%.

Is this a trend now… two recent books have been like this. Like not really getting into the h and H interacting until about a third of the book is already gone.

Reading about 3 books I don’t plan to buy the series of so I can get them out of my tbr-bought folder!
