This is proving to be one of the most remarkable books I’ve read in years. Had been wanting to tackle it for some time, but honestly had feared the pain; superbly researched, an eye witness account from Berlin while during the 1930’s. Written with the care of an historian, it reads like a novel. Perfect for those who enjoy long-term relationships with on-going sparks of passion. This is timely on many levels!
