One surprising part was when Beetee mentions "A force field they've set one up between the game makers and us I wonder what brought that on."229 the force field that the game makers had put up because of Katniss shooting her arrow at the pig in the First book. This is surprising because Beetee noticed the force field without anyone saying something to him about Katniss shooting the pig.
