Leo we found out is also trans when he told someone that he thought he could trust then the next day the person he told was crying and David wanted to know what happened and found Leo in the old pool and Leo told David what happened at Leo's old school and the reason he was kicked out and how Leo was SA by school kids and called slurs so that why he left clover field school to go to the private one for his safety

David finally came out to her parents as kate and was accepted by everyone she and Leo both decided to skip the Christmas dance with little to Kate's knowledge Leo and kate's friends made a separate party and made all of Kates's dreams with a dress and fairy wings and went to the other party in the tackiest pink leopard limo to go part of the way with only one incident of people being rude and being forced to leave

This book isn't half bad so far theirs been one or two or maybe 3 parts that make me uncomfortable I won't lie and so far I feel like the book would be better if it was written by someone who is a trans woman and not by someone who studied trans people in college because you might be able to understand trans people better but never fully because being trans has those life experiences that not many others have.

I hate this book. It doesn't portray trans people well no surprise there because its written by an cis author and it doesn't sit well with me imma try to find a book written by someone who is trans about someone that is trans
