ive been reading so much grrm and im so used to his overtly descriptive and medieval (and kinda creepy in a bad way) style that even though ive read this like ten times (only abt 7/8 are logged on goodreads cause i usually dont read the last few pages bc this is my get over my feelings book) the writing seems kinda simple to me even though its NOT a simple book. its still childrens tho and asoiaf is decidedly... not
