I’m reading this to my grandma who is in the hospital. As an old favorite of ours, it’s been very comforting. In hard moments it before falling asleep, it’s been such a great resource! We enjoyed reminiscing on making the molasses candies with snow when I was a child at our mountain house just like Laura!

My grandma is in the hospital again after a long few months of medical issues. This is one of our favorite books, so I’m reading it to her here at the hospital. She used to read it to me at our mountain house. We made molasses candy when it snowed outside just like Laura and Mary did with Ma. We’re both loving reminiscing on this book! I’ll keep updating here as we remember sweet memories from this story.
