This is an exceptionally well written, detailed, and intriguing take on a common trope. The men in the panther prides experience opposite gender roles under the guise of a matriarchy. They are expected to be virginal and subservient. The MMC has built an independent life for himself and now he's being snatched away from it like a medieval princess and being married off to a woman he doesn't know.
