I have never listened to one of those audio books, and I don't think I could. Something like that would drive me over the edge, I am sure. I can almost see you cringing!

Walker, now she's pronouncing that mountainous area to the west of North Carolina as "app-uh-LAY-chun". These are such simple things to check ahead of time, which she should have been motivated to do if she's tasked with reading these words aloud over and over again.I wish I'd been given the ebook to read instead, but I'm 80% in, so I'm gritting my teeth and following through to the garbled end.
