Okay, it's picked up a bit but now it seems like the whole pack of main folks know about the plan to commit fraud, Bobby is MIA, Wicker is dead, Noel and Sal have begun an affair (THE DAY AFTER THE FUNERAL) and the detectives are just annoying.

I picked this book up as one of those "blind date with a book" things from 2nd and Charles. I know it's early in but I'm really hoping it picks up soon cause this isn't as interesting or suspenseful as the description lead me to believe
