Chet The "Speech at the National Conference to Review the Fight Against Poverty, and Commend Outstanding Individuals and Groups" was especially moving. The comparison I believe Lee Kuan Yew made shortly before his death between Mandela and Xi is apt in some interesting ways. Xi will be discussed as an exemplary world leader for decades and decades to come, probably longer. Most Americans don't grasp his significance. We're stressed and busy and our news media keeps us locked in insularity and ignorance. Whatever your politics, if you're interested in world affairs you should be studying the essays in the Governance of China series. The easiest place to purchase them all is on purpleculture.net. You'll thank me later. I also recorded audiobooks of them all on Youtube (though I'm still working on vol. 4).
