So, the second book in a series is often difficult and not so good .... but not this one.
The story, the characters, simply everything is brilliantly done.
Hailey Turner is definitely one of the best fantasy authors! And this series is on my best of the best shelf

I'm a big fan of HT's, but I haven't had a chance to read this series yet. I confess, I've been a bit put off by the scale of it - so many reviews have described it as dense and overly complicated (and it doesn't focus on just one couple?) I'm still on the fence...
It is so good Iz!!!!I absolutely love this series.
Caz, the books are big but the characters and world building is absolutely fantastic
I appreciate the different couples here, as you don't feel like missing out on developments (like it is sometimes with different couples throughout a series, when they change from one book to another)
