I was on the point of rethinking my past opinions on The British Recluse, as the second half was becoming laborious and trite, and then, very cunningly, Eliza Haywood turns everything on its head. I can't see 5% of it changing my rating of five stars

I am in love with this book, my heart is truly racing

Less than 50% in, and this might just be one of my favorite books ever
