Surprisingly good alternate history of 20th century USA. Well written, well researched. I saw the adaptation of his prequel "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer" and while it was humorous wasn't greatly impressed ( though that might have been the effect of watching at 35,000 feet while tired, cramped and having fellow passengers drool on me). Hence the surprise to be enjoying this.
