Couple of questions so far...<spoiler>Why can Professor Lowell activate the bars if Griffin can't, since Mandarin is not his native tongue? It's not like Lovell dreams in anything but English?
Also, when the fourth year got kicked out of Babel and his vial of blood was smashed, why weren't the wards tripped when they threw him out? By all accounts they should have. </spoiler>
