This was taken from a book ... Which I read couple of years ago. It was also mentioned in Ahmed Al shugari's رحلتي معا غاندي who dedicated a whole chapter on it.
This theory is probably untrue. But it opened my eyes on something bigger.
When I tried explaining this to people who are at my same age group. They just shut down the idea literally afraid of discussing of it .. With their lack of knowledge & just blindly following what they know. Religion isn't following what we know it's truly believing in Islam & every aspect of it. They didn't know the concept of debating. Only 3 people who actually heard me out & researched stuff with me & all of them are open for debate but they were all older than me with much higher qualifications. So how come people our age act knowledgable when they didn't even take the time to google anything?
There is a big difference between المثقف و المتعلم .. One being taught everything he knows & the other is knowledgeable about everything aside from what s/he was taught.
That's the reason I stopped discussing anything I read (aside from novels) with other people.
