Bishop is either trying to make Saetian hit rock bottom & make readers who were mad about her treatment hate her before the author redeems her or continues on the hate trend until Saetian does something so unforgivable that Daemon is forced to kill his child or Jaenelle kills her namesake for him. I'm hating these parts of the books.

First father-daughter in-person interaction & I'm more than irritated that Daemon won't even show any affection for his daughter. Like, yeah she screwed up, but you knew she was heading towards screw up & you let it happen& blamed her for something you should have stopped.

A few good moments. Still irked by how Bishop broke her world's rules to bring back her Mary Sue deux machine. If she wanted Jaenelle to continue on, she shouldn't have made her short-lived.

There are some moments that remind me of the world and characters I love, which is the only reason why I plan to finish what apparently another destruction of characters to push the Janelle Angeline cult agenda. (used to like JA for what she was, but now starting to hate her). And plus this is a borrowed library book, so I didn't waste my money supporting this travesty.

Started reading this on my break. Some moments are good, but comes off as author spinning a yarn to cover up the issues that readers had with the previous two books. A very bad spin.

Okay let's see if Bishop manages to redeem herself and right some of the f**kups she wrote in the last 2 books. However, to completely do that she needs to make Jaenelle stay dead and out of the world of the living. I'm still furious about how she destroyed characters and relationships to keep Jaenelle her special snowflake.
