I wanted to say this book was better than the first. But the story themes don’t match up and the characters seem to move through the book effortlessly without any REAL challenge or threat. That’s what seems to be really missing for me, in this book and the first one, there’s not enough of an enemy storyline so it truly does feel like… just a story. There’s less fantasy, here, too.
