I'm actually obsessed with the pov of the cult members, I think it brings a really interesting depth to the story that a lot of "oh no spooky cult murderer demons aah" stories don't offer. I also, at this point, feel like the description of "an ancient evil" for the god they worship is a little unfair - he's just a deity, a force of nature that seemed pretty neutral before the current circumstances.
