It seems most probable that the priests would have no objections to the burial of the three men. Indeed, they probably would have arranged to have them buried, before nightfall, in tombs reserved for executed criminals, which is what is actually stated in the Mishna, and in the New Testament gospels, with respect to Jesus -64

They shout for the release of Barrabas, but in reference to Jesus, they shout “Crucify him!” They do not want prison for Jesus; they want the ultimate penalty for him: crucifixion. The death of Jesus will hopefully end his movement and fatally discourage his closest followers. -23
