Mary I have taken peace studies classes on how conflict can be seen as bad. However that can be seen as a myth because it can make room for resolution, before it becomes worse.

Stephen Hiemstra Bullard sees low level conflict as providing opportunities to learn--a kind of team building opportunity. This interpretation is okay for low level conflict, but becomes less important for high level conflict where the participants try to inflict losses on each other.

Loss infliction behavior makes it unlikely that resolution can occur without some sort of outside intervention and more likely that the conflict will escalate.
