The professor seems to misunderstand circumcision and the Birkat
Hashahar. The blessing thanking God "for not being made a slave" applies both men and women.. not just men. Men thank God "for not being made a woman" because we have been given more commandments. After a prayer service I asked why we thank God for not being made a woman and that was the answer I received without hesitation.
