Throughout the book, the author begins to describe how the media begins to block public on the knowledge of genetic information. This is because researchers are more focused on their fame than actually giving the public full knowledge about a genetic disease. The author will explain a discovery of a scientists and then further explain why that discovery is not important in the grand scheme of things.

Throughout the first two chapters of this book, the author has been giving examples of genetic diseases. After explaining these examples, he then goes to discuss a problem within them to provide his reasons why genetic manipulation is a problem. These real life examples are his evidence (he gathered the information) that he uses throughout his discussions.
