A PENNY EARNED, the first book in my new series set in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in the 1950s, is set to go on sale at the end of the month. It features Heebs, the homeless paperboy who grew up over the course of the Maggie Sullivan mysteries, as a newly arrived private eye investigating the murder of an Army buddy.

In a city of cowboy hats, he wears a fedora, but he soon proves he's tough as tumbleweeds when necessary.
