One part that was important was when Ben accused Thomas of being bad. When Thomas taking an evening walk into the forest. During he feels he's being stalked. Eventually the thing rushes and viciously attacked, Ben he eventually gets out. Others show up and point arrows at sick kid. Then Ben says tom bad. "He'll wanna get us out of the Maze. Better we all jumped of the Cliff!(73). This shows importance in this event.
