I'm here wondering where authors got the idea that enemies get tingles and all that sexual sh*t when they hate each other. I had a co-worker that I hated for some dump sh*t. He was hot. I ain't gonna lie. And the bastard knew he was good-looking. With his tight shirts and curly hair. But I didn't get tingles. The only thing I got was a spot in hell because of my continuous wishing he would fall and break something.

OMG FRRR I was wondering that too! I feel like in books the enemies to lovers works but IRL it’s like NO 💀🤢 especially if the one you hate is a disgusting man like your co-worker 🤢🤢🤢

I kept wishing that bastard would just be gone. I hated him. Like whenever he came into my peripheral vision my mood would change. Sometimes I kinda wish more books showcase what real enemies to lovers look like. I get that an enemy can change from a friend to a lover. I get it, but for the love of all that is book holy, don't market your book as an enemies-to-lovers when they aren't really enemies.
I was talking about something similar in a review from Transmetropolitan, in real life people who hate each other don't have an ounce of interest in each other, but in novels they always end up having sex, its not realistic, its wishful thinking at best of assholes lol

Yet, we love it, the bantering and whatnot is hard to pass up. Still, I am yet to see an author who reflexs the true art of hate but still keep that transition from enemies to lovers. That book I'll appreciate
