I have been interested in this book since its release. I’ve heard good things and the cover artwork is BEAUTIFUL. I assumed (like some other readers) that it was a fantasy novel. It’s not. The main character is a biracial Ojibwe girl in the North America/Canada area. I was initially disappointed, but I do like books about indigenous peoples, so I stuck it out. The first quarter is slow, but it’s picking up!
