When beginning this book I was partially expecting the typical wordy and esoteric language that is present in historical based writing; however, I was pleasantly surprised by its playful and direct language that engages the reader in its explanation of the origins of Homo Sapiens and their development throughout the ages.

Although I have not finished the current chapter, I found the information that was presented intriguing. The author states the claim and provides evidence that the Agricultural revolution was not an improvement from the hunter and gather, and instead was a "luxury trap." This is interesting as the "revolution" aspect is often thought as immediate beneficial change, but it would take many centuries for that to occur.
