Alright, first question: How is it that this takes place in 3930 BBY whilst all the other volumes took place across 3964/3963 BBY? There's been some major fuck up with the timeline here.

Something here just doesn't feel right. This just doesn't feel like Zayne. It's as if there's a different writer - except it's still JJM on the script, same as ever.

I hate to say it but I feel, uncomfortably, like Zayne isn't being himself. Since when was he a pacifist? It's true he killed very infrequently beofre - mainly because he was a lone Padawan on the run from the law against overwhelming odds - but he never shied away from the idea of combat against the Mandlorians. Here he's saying stuff that seems so out of character, it's weird.

This time Morvis is an idiot. Tibanna Six might be faster, but you're trying to retake a planet where people live. You don't want to fucking salt the earth you're going to plant in, you idiot. Use of tibanna six would have long-term consequences that are not worth it. *facepalm* No wonder these people look to Revan's strategic and tactical brilliance with worshipful awe.

Okay, I agree with Zayne don't shoot the kid, but Morvis is also right - it's no accident that kid was in battle armour, riding a war droid, in the middle of the battle. But the Republic shouldn't shoot at the kid - they should record it, publicise it, and then denounce the Mandalorians' WAR CRIMES in using CHILD SOLDIERS. That would be far more effective and earn the Mandalorians universal opprobrium for atrocities.

Sorry Zayne, I'm with Morvis on this one. In war, it is not a good idea to cease fire when the enemy is retreating. When an enemy is retreating they are regrouping, possibly launching a counterattack, or looking to salvage as much manpower and equipment as possible to defeat you later. When the enemy is SURRENDERING or ROUTING, then is a reasonable time to cease fire.
