I just found out Manga Entertainment was a UK company. You can't access the website now. It's a catalog company for anime in the 1990s. Apparently it started out as a catalog for manga. The website I'd under maintenance since 2004. It started in the 80s. So cool! They had the best underground titles.

Wow! Finding out you are correct on a hypnosis is so refreshing. That anime came State side via Astro Boy then in 1969 manga magazines started flooding the North American specialty shops aka catalog orders.

Each paragraph is so informative. That no matter which culture you look into for their sequential graphic depictions of life or myths from planet earth. They all start with a drawing found on a wall. That's been uncovered centuries later. Drawings ment to make fun of a person or situation. Advertising started that way. The only difference is the ads were displayed where everyone could see it.

L Ann This looks so interesting. I see that it was published in 2013 right before the explosion in popularity of anime and therefore manga here in the US. It would've been cool to see what the author thought about that and what influence, if any, that had on manga in terms of what became popular or what fell out of favor. I hope it lives up to your expectations. 🖤

Ronie Reads It has! So much information. Like after the Japanese borders were forced open. Artist from the UK went over to document everything. That's how speech bubbles were introduced. Also British satire. The Japanese loved it so much.
