This book is really different. At first, I thought the sex scenes were gratuitous, which made me almost quit reading, but they are not. I really liked the idea of math and art as vehicles for the characters to conceptualize love and time. The author draws upon her own experience as an unmedicated bipolar person to write a reckless, impulsive, intelligent, believable protagonist.
