My god this is heartbreaking.
I’m reading this for my Empires in Asia course’s final essay and not only am I engrossed by the topic but the importance of a firsthand account of the war and the effect it had on people living in China and Japan at the time is so so so big.
This class has been so amazing and I’m sad it’s over but also excited to be with this professor again for Asian history in the fall.
