The writing is ok but the author decided to make a gay couple in historical setting the evil people who "hurt" H's feelings (memory recollection). Why? The whole situation was a no win for anyone but the way the author wrote it was not good. The marquess is no better. *sigh* I had high hopes. I hope I will be able to finish it.
