Rereading with the Matt Dillon audiobook, whose voice is incredibly suited for Kerouac. There’s no doubting the Beats’ selfish hedonism and misogyny, but on a purely prose level this is one of the greats of American Literature. Excited to revisit it for the first time in maybe 11 years…
