One of the best novels written in the backdrop of world war 2. A blind girl, her father, uncle, house maid and a diamond in France. From Germany a brilliant orphan boy, his sister, his army colleagues, a military officer searching for diamond. Author brilliantly weaves the story with these characters. Definitely engaging. Must read.
