very good balance between “this is the likely state of things” and humility, like “we know enough to make xyz educated guesses but NOT enough to say that they’re more than a guess, or average, which could make it a useless knowledge for any particular that falls outside of the average”

really good & very well-explained but VERY slow going for me,, since i barely passed my science / math classes in grade school and that was decades ago. it took me four tries to understand wtf a parsec is (but i got it now)
