starting to get invested into the characters:

* prince andrew
* pierre
* rostovs, Natasha & Nikoli
* Helena

just finished the hunt scene at the Rostov's and Natasha has regaled them, at her uncle's house, w/ her mastery of a folk dance and overall grace. Also interesting commentary about the continental system.

very interesting mason induction ceremony -- many parts of which I can't say I haven't seen before 😬

* Prince Andrew dies in battle of austerlitz? Napoleon receives him w/ famous “That’s a fine death!” as he gazed at lies dead.
* Duel between Pierre & Dolokhov
* Surprise! Andrew returns home to his sons birth, but wife dies.
* Dolokhov, survives the duel and Pierre separates from wife

hundreds of pages of this book are in french. what is one to do?
