I didn’t know it was possible, but I’m a little burnt out on historical romance. I am on a contemporary romance kick and I might get my toe into some steam punk romances.

I didn’t either! But last year it happened for me too. Veered towards contemporary for most of last year… now I’m dipping my toes back into fantasy. So I feel this so much!!

So I feel this so much!!"A big part is that there are so many HR books I would love to listen to but the narration is terrible. I know it is not true, but I felt like I read all the good HR, and I couldn't find any that kept my attention.
Have you read any steampunk romances? I want to give that a try, but I'm not finding any that have caught my eye.
I totally feel you on this, I am a huge audiobook consumer and a lot of the narrators for HR do NOT work for me...I don't think I've read any steampunk with a main romance plotline, at least nothing that comes to mind. But! One that I am planning on reading is Soulless by Gail Carriger, it's like comedy of manners fantasy steampunk romance? Might be worth checking out, even if only to plunge you down some GR rabbit hole of steampunk romance authors :P
