what cass did is wrong 100%, but also not being understanding of someone’s mother dying and comparing it to your situation is idk. being poc myself, if i lost my culture, i can make efforts to relearn it. it won’t be the same ofc, but i can do something about it. but you can’t really do much about someone’s mother dying, and it just seemed like a way to make her perfect life seem worse than it is?
