Make You Mine -
It makes more sense when you realise this is set after another book.
This ‘consensual not-consent’ stuff is just not for me.
While this story didn’t explain itself very much either, I found the writing to be more understandable than the last.
Oh, and these guys are high-schoolers? And they ‘rule’ the town?
At least make them a bit older!

Burn Me -
I started this again to feel like I was getting through some of my books. But surprising, it actually held my attention and piqued my interest!
I’ve looked up the full version and plan to continue the story.
I’m not one to ever seek out step-sibling romance stories but this one works for me because the MCs never lived together and wanted their parent’s marriage to end from the very beginning.

Golden Wings & Pretty Things -
This is not the type of story I would gravitate towards nor did it give me any desire to search for more.
But I thought I would hate it and I didn’t. Mostly.
I did like they did not try to romanticise Astor’s desires. He knew he was abusing his power and wasn’t hiding behind some sympathetic mask.
The bonus chapter was just a tease to another story.

Undertow -
SO many issues with the male MC. He’s like one big red flag wrapped in some empathetic tale about his dead wife.
How many times did Gemma say ‘no’ but he continually ignored her under the guise of ‘I know what she really needs’.
Seriously??
That ending barely resolved the issue Gemma insisted was the reason they couldn’t be together.
Forced myself to read the last half after days of dragging it out.

Time's passed and the characters have interacted since last I read about them.
I like that you don’t need to read the main books to understand what’s happening.
Everything is pretty much explained well enough and bonus, it doesn’t halt the story.
Do I like where the story went? Mmh well, it was just another ‘woman forgets about everything when she’s hot for a guy’ thing.

Pretty Pawn -
It’s stories like these I’m not so fond of. Ones that don’t really provide much information.
In a way, it’s good because it’s moving the story forward. But it can also make things confusing.
Especially with this author’s writing style.
The author’s note says this was set in a world she’d already established so it might be less confusing to others.

I liked the concept of this story and the writing was mostly good. There just wasn’t enough story and a lot of smut.
Also, I waited like a year to read this and this book still isn’t out.
