I hope the heroine gets over her extreme shyness and ridiculous response the hero soon, it's getting annoying. And who makes it to their 20's without ever wearing make up? Honey we all need a little help if we aren't 16 anymore.

Nope just excited. The author has also used "juddering" twice, that word is so funny. We don't use it here.

It means to shake rapidly or spasmodically. I once read it in a book where the hero was juddering after he got off, it made me laugh!I think they use it more in Austrailia or New Zealand (maybe England?) because I read a discussion about it on Dear Author once.
Too funny. I would definitely LOL while reading that line."Juddering" is very weird to read in a book since we don't use it here, as you say, Melissa. Makes me laugh too.
