Though the book tries to avoid jargon, I'm impressed at how in-depth it goes into phonetics and phonology of the Japanese language. This is material I will find extraordinarily helpful to pronounce the language properly. I've focused on writing and reading rather than speaking and hearing, so it's overdue I get this material. Is it beginner? Maybe this would overwhelm other newbs. As a linguist, I'm appreciative.
