please recommend a book for me to read!! i need something exciting/gripping with high-quality writing (think gillian flynn, donna tartt, jeanette winterson, etc.)

Acts of Service by Lillian Fishman is such a quick read with beautiful writing. I also don’t know how to feel about it and really need your opinion (kind of like you with Persephone Q).

Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow is super gripping and exciting but is also longer (though i finished it super fast)
You could also easily complete all of Sally Rooney’s short stories in like one day because they’re so beautifully written and you get connected to the characters quickly
Passing by Nella Larsen! Idk if it qualifies as exciting or gripping (except for the end…) BUT it’s beautifully written and such a quick read (you’ll finish in two days max)
Bliss Montage by Ling Ma is a wonderful collection of strange, gripping, weird and fun short stories!! Idk if the writing qualifies as high-quality BUT the themes and metaphors/euphemisms are very much high-quality
Bunny by Mona Awad is a very quick read. Once you get to the second section it becomes gripping/exciting. I didn’t like this book as much as everyone else, but I do think you will!!
You also bought Dark Places the other day, maybe you could read that
