It's crazy how good June is at convincing herself that she's done nothing wrong and that she's the victim in everything. She is truly an unlikable protagonist. But I honestly really appreciate the mental health rep in this. R.F. Kuang does an amazing job depicting anxiety attacks and spirals and paranoia.

Damn ok the ending popped off in a way I wasn't expecting. What an absolute whirlwind of a story. Definitely going to be re-reading this book again with fresh eyes at some point in time.
