The beginning definitely draws you in, even if it does keep the old English dialect that slows down modern readers. It truly feels like a fleshed out version of the play- giving full personalities not only to Rosaline and Benevolio but truly making Juliet and Romeo likable and empathetic. I still can’t believe she falls for Mercurtio’s shit. It’s like the concussion took out her common sense.
