Extremely short story, the prequel to the Fitzhugh trilogy. Living in a loveles marriage she finds one of her husband's friends desirable but she's a married woman , besides Mr Kingston doesn't pay her much of attention, she established a corresponding friendship with a lady that clarissa thinks is her soul mate. After 2 years of mourning her husband she tells her friend that she'll be on the marriage market again.
