I’m fairly knowledgeable about ye olde Punk Rock, both from first hand experience, and having devoured many a musical tome and magazine article, and I can already say this is one of the very best punk memoirs I’ve read. Focussing on the all important 76-77 period, Dave Thompson is very credibly bring the era back to life… pub rock eclipsed by punk in a few short months and much more. Splendid.
